RK Publishing produces all Canadian products exclusively devoted to FSL in the Canadian classroom. Our team is comprised of Canadian authors, publishers, editors and artists who have all spent time in the classroom. From that knowledge and experience comes a unique perspective on what teachers in an FSL classroom need and then offers the best approach in meeting those needs.

All of our products and programs begin with extensive research conducted across the country. Involving educators, administrators and parents, RK Publishing gains a deep understanding of the market and then develops and builds a product that addresses that market need.

Our resources are created with the following goals in mind

• to promote bilingualism and student retention in FSL programs by providing opportunities for students to succeed so that they see the rich rewards of continuing to learn French
• to provide students with active learning opportunities and age-appropriate choices to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding
• to create resources that develop in students a passion and understanding of the language and cultures of Francophone communities around the world
• to address current research, education priorities, curricular requirements and pedagogical initiatives in the development of each new resource

APPROVED RESOURCES

Many of our products and programs have been approved by Ministries of Education in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario and supported by Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and British Columbia Ministries.

In Ontario, many RK Publishing titles are Trillium-approved and many others are approved by Curriculum Services Canada (CSC). In general, RK Publishing's resources have been assessed as both pedagogically-sound and teacher- and student-friendly.
